Hi, I'm BLACK. I'm a MALE! I was born at 3:38 PM on Thursday, 2/11, 2016. I'm growing fast!

Newborn: 14 oz.

3 days: 1.25 lb.

6 days old: I got my dewclaws removed today. I survived!

1 week: 2 lb. 1 oz.

2 weeks: 3 lbs. 6 oz.

2/27/2016: The lady with the camera smiled when I licked and licked and licked that deworming med down, down, down.

I am SOLD.

When he is ready to leave his mama, Black "Buck" will get to be a part of the LaRochelle family. Two kiddos can't wait for this pup to grow up enough to come home. Since he's too manly to be called "Fluffy" or "Cookie," we've heard from the new owners that he will keep his call name, "Buck."

3/2/2016: I did it! I escaped the puppy pool . . . in the dark! It was 3:00 AM. I wanted milk. Who can blame me? I have less than 2 years to multiply my birth weight by 80 or so pounds.

The lady with the camera had this sneaking suspicion that she should shine her light to check out the "sniffing and peeping" sounds she heard. Her mission was to confirm if they came from inside or outside the pool where we lived for the first few weeks.

Sure enough. It was me, Buck. I was FREE . . . for like one minute.

As it turned out, I got my milk. My brother and sisters did, too. Then we got what the camera lady called an "upgrade" in our living. We slept in the crate so she knew we would be safe. Can't argue with that . . . too much.

3 weeks: 5 lbs. 4 oz.

3/8/2016: That hungry theme--well, it's intensifying! And this 3:00 AM thing, it's trending. The lady with the camera and the man she likes to hug came to the rescue once again. Yes, Mama gave us milk but we were still starving! The nice people who look after us gave us puppy soup. I liked it so much I crawled in the tray. It makes me feel happy and sleepy.

4 weeks: 7 lbs. 2 oz.

3/13/2016: I'm a licker and licked every last drip of my deworming meds. It made the lady with the camera happy.

5 weeks: 9 lbs. 6 oz.

Fitting right in with my new family. Leaving no trace of food and (the occasional) little trail of trouble. Loving to be a true Austinite. Born and raised here. Destined to be a truly Texan Austin Chesapeake.
